How are you approaching this final league game of the campaign?
I’m extremely motivated and I’m convinced that the whole team, players and coaching staff together, are too. A win against Monaco is indispensable. We’re coming off a series of poor results, but we mustn’t throw away the good work of an entire season. We’ve been waiting for a final all season and now here it is. This final game of the season is out final!”

Is qualifying for Europe a must do at all costs?
“First and foremost, it would be the perfect way to crown a long and challenging season. The players and the coach have done a admirable job. We need to give our fans Europe with a win against Monaco on Saturday. That will also live up to the club’s image in Europe. PSG needs to be playing in Europe each and every season.”

Has the question of a new coach been resolved?
“That question will be resolved in good time. It’s no secret that we hold Antoine Kombouaré in high esteem. But the most important thing now is to allow Paul Le Guen the chance to work towards qualifying for Europe which he wants more than anyone.”

What do you think about this exciting end to the season?
“This season, the French first division has been simply enthralling. Everyone’s got something at stake. I certainly hope that Olympique Lyonnais, now that they’re assured of third place, show the same desire and motivation against Toulouse, that Valenciennes did against us last weekend. In fact, Lyon had even written a letter to the League ahead of our match against VA. I certainly won’t be doing that, because I have every confidence in Jean-Michel Aulas’ ability to motivate his players for this final match of the season.”
