Paris Saint-Germain captain Claude Makelele is getting ready for a long weekend, starting with the crucial final league match of the season against Monaco on Saturday, followed by Pauleta’s Jubilee on Sunday and then the finals of the PSG International Under-13 Tournament on the Monday.

Claude, how are preparations going for the final match of the season against Monaco?
“After the two losses on the trot, this final game against Monaco is crucial if we want to qualify for the Europa League. The team has had a great season and it would be a real shame to throw it all away now. Physically and mentally, the squad is exhausted, but we have to give it all, one more time because our season is on the line.”


On Sunday, the Parc will fill up again for Pedro Pauleta’s Jubilee...
“The jubilee is another important event for the club because Pedro did an awful lot for this club. It’s only right that he gets a match like this. It’s going to be an incredible moment for him. When everything comes together, the players, the supporters, all those seasons at the club it all comes together for a wonderful tribute.”
