On Thursday morning, Christope Jallet spoke to PSG TV after new France coach Didier Deschamps named the PSG skipper in his first 22-man squad to take on Uruguay in a friendly next Wednesday in Le Havre. It is the first time Jallet has been called up to Les Bleus.

"I always said that the day I got called up to the France squad, it would be the reward for all the hard work and sacrifices I have made. I am delighted. I hope it all goes well and there will be others to follow. There's a new national team coach, so it's a chance for everyone to try and impress. There are a fair few new faces and others that have been recalled. In life, you have to seize the opportunity when it presents itself."
