More than 400 guests attended the event. They were joined by Paris Saint-Germain Chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the entire Paris Saint-Germain men's football squad and their wives, and representatives from the Women's team and Handball team, inside a pavilion, set inside the majestic backdrop of the Parc des Princes.
The evening celebrated 17 years of the Foundation's fantastic work with children and raised 660,000 euros to finance its future projects, thanks to the auction of 16 exceptional lots, sold with the expert help of the Artcurial auction house.
Over the course of the 2016-17 season, more than 20 000 children have benefited from the work of the Foundation, including the opening of the RED & BLUE school in Paris' 19th arrondissement and the new project 'Dream Evenings', that, throughout the year, offers young sick children the opportunity to meet their idols at the Parc des Princes and the Ooredoo Training Centre.
Tuesday evening was also the opportunity to salute the generosity of two of the Foundation's biggest patrons in Arnaud Lagardère and Jean-Pierre Aubin, president of Aurel BGC, who appeared on stage at the invitation of the children from the RED AND BLUE SCHOOL.
The following people were present at the Gala Dinner: Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Chaiman and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain and the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, the entire Paris Saint-Germain mens professional squad and their wives, Paris Saint-Germain Women's team players Sabrina Delannoy, Laure Boulleau and Shirley Cruz, and Handballers Daniel Narcisse, Luc Abalo, William Accambray, Nedim Remili, Thierry Omeyer, Mikkel Hansen and Nikola and Luka Karabatic; The representatives of partner companies and non-profit organisations, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Regional Council President Pierre Bédier, Secours Populaire Français president Julien Lauprêtre, Vincent-Nicolas Delpech, Necker Children's Hospital Director, Daniel Janicot, President of the French Commission for UNESCO, as well as personalities Ary Abittan, Anne-Claire Coudray, Julie Depardieu, Laurence Ferrari, Richard Gasquet, Cyril Hanouna, Ophélie Meunier and Thomas Ngijol and Karole Rocher.The evening's menu was created by Parisian and twice Michelin Guide 3-star chef Yannick Alléno, and catered for by Saint-Clair.
