- Longest run of away wins in a single season
After Rennes (1-0, 14/01/2017), Nantes (2-0, 21/01/2017), Dijon (3-1, 04/02/2017), Bordeaux (3-0, 10/02/2017), Marseille (5-1, 26/02/2017) and Lorient (2-1, 12/03/2017), Paris won at Angers last Friday (2-0) to rack up a seventh successive away win in the league.
It means a record could be equalled in Lorraine: if Paris win, Unai Emery's men will join Marseille with a series of eight consecutive triumphs at the end of the 2008-09 season. During that campaign, OM won their last eight away games of the season against Monaco (1-0), Caen (1-0), Paris (3-1), Saint-Etienne (3-0), Lorient (2-1), Lille (2-1), Nice (2-0) and Nancy (2-1).
- Unai Emery's 50th with Paris: Laurent Blanc's record equalled?
In Metz, Unai Emery will take charge of his 50th game as Paris Saint-Germain coach. If Paris win in Lorraine, the club record for a coach's first 50 games will be equalled. Laurent Blanc won 37 matches and recorded eight draws and five losses in 2013-14, a total Emery can match with a win in Metz.
In their first 50 matches, the two coaches both won the Trophée des Champions and the Coupe de la Ligue. Their record is almost identical with 118 goals scored and 38 conceded for Emery (+80), 116 scored and 37 conceded for Blanc (+79). The calculation is simple: with a win, Emery will overtake his predecessor on goal difference and will become the club's all-time number one coach.
