"Our injury list is getting shorter and shorter, that's a good thing. Just about my whole squad is at my disposal. Still, I'll wait until the end of training on Friday to see whether that's till the case. I hope that this time Javier Pastore can re-join the squad. He's doing everything to make it back. He's been training normally these past few days. If he's fit, he'll be in the squad. Marco's situation is different; his injury is not serious, but it could get that way. So we have to be smart about how we deal with his case. If everything goes well for him in training session, he'll be in the squad."
HOW TO MANAGE THE MATCH AGAINST LILLE:
"You can't control everything. We had a lot of injuries (3) against Caen last season (2-2, 14/02/2015), but you can't control that kind of thing. It stopped us from playing a good game against Chelsea. At any rate, the players mustn't be out of shape going into this last-16 tie. We’re doing everything we can to ensure that the players aren't at too high a risk of injury. We've been rotating the squad regularly for a while now."
KEEP THE RUN GOING:
"It's a league match with three points up for grabs. We'll prepare for it with a view to getting the win. It doesn't matter what line-up I choose. The players are professionals and are prepared to play and try to win every match. I hope that they'll be looking for the win in order to keep our good run going."
CHELSEAON THEIR MINDS:
"Some players will certainly be rested against Lille, but nothing's stopping me from playing some lads on Saturday and Tuesday. Anyway I think Chelsea are in the same boat - they're playing Newcastle on Saturday. Playing a lot of matches is not a bad way to prepare, on the contrary. The only risk is injuries and recovery time."
HIS CONTRACT EXTENSION:
"There was no date in mind in terms of my contract extension. I'm very proud that the club has confidence in us. I'd like to thank my staff, and I thank the players for the results they've obtained, and the directors too. I'm very honoured to continue the adventure. The club has lofty ambitions. To keep making progress, we'll need to keep getting results. This squad have been satisfying my demands for a year and a half now. There is a lot of respect between the players and the staff. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with this group of people, who can give a lot of pleasure to the fans, especially in the Champions League."
