Thiago, how does it feel after signing a new contract extension with the club until 2016?
"Perfect! Now I can play for Paris Saint-Germain until 2016. Already when I signed here, I wanted to stay and play for this team and now the contract extension is great and everything is going well for me."

With the 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League and your new deal, it's a great week for you...
"I don't think you can say much more about the match. European match away to Leverkusen in the last-16 of the Champions League, a team that have already made the final, and to beat them 4-0 it's a great result and an important result for the return match at the Parc des Princes. We need to keep going on this path. It won't be easy, because football is always tough and it's always hard to win, especially in the Champions League and we need to play this match to qualify."

What are your objectives now that your contract is signed for another two years?
"The objective is one day at a time. It's hard to look to much further. Football is day by day, Sunday's game against a tough team in Toulouse, they will be giving everything to beat Paris Saint-Germain."

Your new contract follows those of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva. So it's the spine of the Paris Saint-Germain side that will continue to defend the colours of the French capital...
"For me, Thiago and Ibra are the two most important players in the team. At the moment, they are the players that have had amazing careers, and yes I've extended my contract like them, but I've got my feet on the ground and I will continue to work like before, do the same thing to keep helping Paris Saint-Germain win football matches."

But you are one of the key players to this side...
"It's very nice to hear that. It's important for a player to get recognition from the supporters and also people that follow the football and Paris Saint-Germain so I thank them for that, but I'll just keep on working and hope I keep playing like this to help the team."

What are the objectives for the side until the end of the season?
"I prefer taking it one day at a time, but when you start the season, you program the objectives in your head and to reach those goals, you have to work hard. Now the team is in a great position. We're in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, we have a good chance to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and we are leading the league, it's going to be an important end of season and for the players it's great to have important matches and be playing for silverware."

You have been at the club for two years now, what has been the highlight for you in your time at the club?
"I think when we won the league against Lyon. When I arrived here, the main objective was to win the league and we did that last season and now we have the chance to win it again and we'll give everything to win it again."
