By extending his stay in the French capital, Zlatan Ibrahimovic demonstrates his confidence in a big European club.

In this his second season with the Club, the Swedish goal-scorer has already made his mark at Paris Saint-Germain. Having arrived in Paris in July 2012 with the reputation of being a world-class striker, Ibrahimovic scored 30 goals for Paris in Ligue 1, becoming the league's top scorer, after twice achieving the same feat in Serie A.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic declared after signing his contract extension: "I don't see a more ambitious club in Europe than Paris Saint-Germain. My wish is that Paris Saint-Germain is my last big Club. This Club is like me: the dream is never big enough."

"The desire of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the best players in the world, to leave a long and lasting legacy at Paris Saint-Germain is a very strong sign. Together, we share the same ambition, to take the Club to the summits of the European game," added Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
