At 18:30 on Tuesday evening, in restaurant 'Le 70' at the Parc des Princes, the club's partners and clients mingled for a few minutes before the traditional New Year's wishes from the club's directors.
Frédéric Longuépée, Vice Director General in charge of Commercial Activities, took the podium surrounded by high-level representatives from the sporting sector. Carlo Ancelotti was also on the dais, alongside Maxwell, Salvatore Sirigu, Mamadou Sakho and brand-new signing Lucas.
So it was an all-star cast on stage to wish everyone a 2013 full of success as the club and its partners continue to work together closely. A year ahead that promises to be full of incredible experiences, especially on the pitch, but of a greater magnitude than has ben seen before. Frédéric Longuépée said: "These New Year's wishes to our closest partners are an important part of getting the year off to a good start. Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to be surrounded by such estimable partners as it looks to continue its development project. Ambitions run high in Paris on this and every other level. Our aim is that the cub become one of the biggest sporting franchises in the world and that the Parc des Princes remains a magical place in the long term."
The club's soaring ambitions are music to the ear's of Paris' key partners, as Michel Oddos, PMU's COmmercial and Sponsoring Director, told PSG TV: "We accepted this invitation with great pleasure. It's a chance to rub shoulders with the club's other sponsors as well as the people who make the club tick. We're obviously very proud to be sponsoring a team that currently lead the league and who will only grow in stature in the near future."
A few metres away Gilles Dermaux, QNB's French Director General, echoed these sentiments: "It's a true pleasure to take part in an aevent like this. We've only come on board recently as PSG sponsors - we're a young sponsor - but we're delighted to be associated with the fantastic projects the club has in place."
And aftera few words in French from Carlo Ancelotti, the guets had a chance to pose for photos with the four players in attendance. Some of them even took the oportunity to get an autograph from Brazilian young gun Lucas, who was very popular on the night.
The next time PSG's partners see the players, it will be a few hundred metres away, out on the pitch of the Parc des Princes...
