Coach, how are you approaching this final warm-up game against FC Barcelona?
"It's a very exciting match because we're up against the best team in the world with all of their stars. It's a very good test to see where we're up to in terms of our pre-season preparation. I'm very happy to be playing this match in Paris. I hope it will give a good image of our club. Last season we finished second in the championship and this year we want to finish first and be competitive in the Champions League. I think we can do it, but we will only find out once the competition starts."

What are looking for out of this game?
"Obviously PSG cannot expect to be at the same level as FC Barcelona. What we like most about the Catalan side is their philosophy and mentality. It is obviously the right road to success, but it is a long road... We are trying to do what we can in our way, with our strengths, our qualities and we'll see where it takes us."

What are the qualities that Ibrahimović can bring to French football, and PSG in particular?
"Zlatan Ibrahimović is a great player, one of the best attackers in the world. He is a fantastic finisher and also has immense experience, character and all those other qualities that can help the whole team."

Diego Lugano wasn't named in the squad to take on Barcelona…
"Diego Lugano is not in the squad because he has been suffering with a few physical problems since the game against DC United. He hasn't trained all week with the squad. I have decided I would prefer he has a proper training session on Saturday morning. Jérémy Ménez is in the squad, but he was also injured in Washington and he will almost certainly be unavailable for the Barca game. Clément Chantôme was sick on Thursday and I don't know if he can play. Thiago Motta is also absent. All the other players are in good condition."

Is PSG recruitment complete?
"Yes, for us, the mercato is over. I think the club has done a fantastic job this summer. It's true that there are still a lot of rumours in the English press, but you mustn't listen to what they are saying."

Are you going to rotate players during the game against FC Barcelona?
"The plan is to give playing time to the players. Certain players will most certainly play a full game, while others will play 60 minutes. Obviously I will make changes during the game. The championship starts in a week so it's important that the players get as much playing time under their belts to improve their physical condition. Douchez will start in goal. In defence, we'll have Christophe Jallet, Alex, Mamadou Sakho and Maxwell, in midfield, Clément Chantôme or Marco Verratti along with Mathieu Bodmer and Javier Pastore and up front the attacking line will be comprised Nene, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zlatan Ibrahimović."»

Javier Pastore (PSG midfielder):
"The coach plays me in the position he feels is best and that's his choice. I feel very comfortable in this slightly withdrawn midfield role. If it's good for the team, it's good for me. The club has made some big transfer signings this summer. That's great news for the team because they will all add something to the squad. Now we have to show that we are a team. Playing against Barca is really exciting. We always want to play against a team like that. I was really happy to play against Chelsea earlier this pre-season because it's matches like this that help us gain experience for the Champions League. Watching them on TV is one thing, but playing against them, that's an entirely different kettle of fish. I'm delighted to be playing these types of matches."
