Coach, how is training going just outside of New York City?
"We are enjoying an excellent training complex with particularly good pitches. The players are working well and I think the team is improving a lot."

What are you expecting from Sunday's friendly match against Chelsea FC?
"It won't be the first-choice PSG line-up as we are still in the middle of our pre-season preparations. It will be an excellent test against the European champions, even if it remains a friendly match. We want to play these types of matches to gain experience. I was happy with our first friendly games and we again want to play well on Sunday."

Are you impatient for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to get into training?
"Zlatan will get here on Tuesday and train for four or five days with the rest of the squad before continuing his pre-season preparations at the Camp des Loges.  I'm not sure yet, whether he will play against Washington DC United on 28 July. We'll have to see how he is physically. He has always been an important player, everywhere he has played. Zlatan will bring his experience to the team and that will help the others. He will be an important player in our system."

What have you made of Verratti's debuts at PSG?
"Verratti is very talented. I can confirm he will play the second half against Chelsea on Sunday. The club has some very experienced players and also some very talented young players, such as Verratti and Rabiot."

Has Jérémy Ménez's meeting with the FFF been postponed?
"Jérémy Ménez wanted to get back training as quickly as possible and come into this camp with us. We have asked the French federation to postpone his meeting until our return. We'll see."

Will Nene stay at PSG this season?
"I have spoken to Nene and our position is very simple: we don't want to extend his contract at this moment in time and we will take a little more time before making a final decision, but he remains an important player for us for the coming season. Technically, he is a fantastic player and I hope he decides to stay at PSG. He will play against Chelsea, by the way."

And concerning Sakho?
"He never declared he wants to leave. Sakho is an excellent player and we are counting on him, particularly with an eye on the Champions league. He is a product of this club and an important element of this side."

Have you chosen a captain for the season?
"Tomorrow, against Chelsea, Christophe Jallet will be captain. I will make my final decision before the first official match of the campaign. I have already explained that it will be a French player. So it could be Jallet, but it could also be Sakho, Bodmer, Sissoko, Ménez…"
