14 May 1997, Rotterdam: Paris are looking to make it back-to-back successes on the European stage. Led by emblematic Barzilian captain Rai, defending champions PSG lost the Cup Winners Cup final 1-0 to Barcelona and a penalty from the phenomenal Ronaldo.
That was the last time, 15 years ago now, that the Parisians and Catalonians met on the football pitch.

Before enjoying the spectacle of Barça's international armada visiting the Parc des Princes, PSG fans can fondly remember the last time the Blaugrana visited the French capital...
It was back in March 1995 when Paris wrote one of the greatest pages of the European adventures. Two weeks after earning a hard-fought and promising 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Camp Nou, PSG played host to Hagi and Stoichkov and Co. in a sold out Parc.
After hitting the woodwork no less than four times and still trailing 1-0 on the night, PSG turned things around in the final minutes thanks to goals from Raï (72') and Guérin (83') as the historical result catapulted Les Rouge et Bleu into the semi-finals.
The stakes may not be as high this coming August, but the Parc des Princes will again be treated to a massive European clash of the highest order...
