Kombouaré: 'Stay humble'
Check out what Antoine Kombouaré, Kevin Gameiro, Blaise Matuidi, Christophe Jallet and Guillaume Hoarau had to say after PSG's impressive 3-0 win over Montpellier...
Antoine Kombouaré (PSG coach):
"I'm over the moon because this was a great win. It's a reward for plenty of hard work from everyone. I'm a really happy coach, proud of my players. But it's only three points and it's only Week 8 of the campaign so we have to stay humble and keep on working. You can't forget all the hard work that went into earning this result. I'd like to congratulate the players for all the hard work and the quality they showed tonight. We need to keep it going."
Kevin Gameiro (PSG forward):
"We were well organised and disciplined. We played on the counterattack and showed that we know how to defend. I felt a little twinge in the hamstring so I thought it best to come off and not to take any risks. Most people didn't think we could play like a team and we showed them we could tonight. It's a great result and it bodes well for the rest of the season."
Blaise Matuidi (PSG midfielder):
"It's an important win. We showed everyone that we'll be a contender this term. We played really well tonight because this is not an easy trip and we stood up to them. This will be a very important win for the rest of our season."
Guillaume Hoarau (PSG forward):
"Along with Christophe Jallet, I came to the Parc des Princes to watch the game at the club headquarters and we loved all 90 minutes. That was a superb win. In my opinion, it was THE match of the season so far. We can be sure this evening, that this PSG is a great team. Everyone did their job, in defence and in attack and we showed everyone what we're capable of and the perfect response to those people trying to destabilize us in the press. The team spirit was brilliant tonight and this was a win for the whole squad!"
