Under the attentive gaze of Brazil international Thiago Silva, presented to his new fans ahead of kick-off at the Parc, Les Parisiens made an enterprising start. Les Rouge et Bleu denied Les Girondins the ball in the opening 15 minutes without carving out a clear-cut scoring chance. Nene took the ball by the horns and released Pastore. The Argentina international beat his man with a superb first touch and fired on site from just inside the box - tipped over by Carrasso (19').

It was a let off for Francis Gillot's side, who sat deep, massing defenders in front of their goal and looking to hit on the counterattack. Les Parisiens stepped it up a gear in the closing stages of the first half. Played in on the right, 25 metres out, Nene let fly with a powerful shot that Carrasso could only palm away (45'). Moments later, Brazilian defender Alex headed centimetres wide (45+1').

Les Parisiens continued to attack after the break. From a 20-metre free-kick in front of goal, Ibrahimovic sent a rocket fizzing past the post (53'). Bordeaux responded in kind through Nguemo (57'). Ibrahimovic tries to make the difference in the final 15 minutes. From a Nene corner, the Swedish No.18 won the ball back in the area and sent a shot curling back across the face of goal towards the top left corner. Just wide... (73').

Like against Lorient (2-2) and Ajaccio (0-0), Les Parisiens just couldn't find the right key to unlock their opponents in the final minutes and net that first win of the season. There next chance comes away to Lille at their brand new Grand Stade Lille Métropole next weekend...
