President of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation
When I took over as the President of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, I wanted to give it more resources to allow it to pursue its activities more widely.
I see it as an essential task of mine, and of Paris Saint-Germain through its Foundation, to help sick and underprivileged children embrace the wonderful values of sport, play a full part in sporting and educational activities and experience magical moments.
The Paris Saint-Germain Foundation is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, 15 years of commitment that have seen nearly 150,000 children take part in the programmes it runs. The year 2015 will also see the club celebrate its 45th anniversary.
The Foundation is at the heart of the Paris Saint-Germain family, but it must also be at the heart of its local community and region and gain wider recognition across the world as a whole for its achievements and values. An endowment fund has been set up with this idea in mind, to allow our partners and friends to support and assist the Foundation in its new initiatives and projects.
In 2015, the Foundation’s ground-breaking ROUGE & BLEU schools will offer a wide range of sporting and educational activities to elementary school students facing social and academic difficulties. Initiatives such as this reflect the values of a responsible and socially engaged club that gives youngsters the chance to dream bigger dreams.
