Diego, how was your first training session with the rest of the squad?
"I feel great. I was really impatient to start training with the squad because up until now, I've been training on my own. I'm slowly getting to know my teammates, even if I don't speak French yet. I'm starting to feel at home and I hope we'll reach our goals this season as a team."
You also played your first match of the new season with Uruguay against Ukraine last Friday...
"That was my first competitive match since the Copa America. I played 70 minutes at a good pace and was even lucky enough to score. The first matches of the season are always important to get back into the swing of things."
How do you feel physically?
"Really good because I'd already done a bit of preseason with my former club Fenerbahçe, even if I hadn't actually played a game before the Uruguay match last weekend. For a player, there's only one way of getting match fitness back and that's by playing matches..."

Do you think you will be able to play this Sunday against Brest?
"It's still too early to say. We've still got the rest of the week and we need to see how it works out with my teammates. I'm at the coach's disposal and I'm working hard every day to be ready."
Do you already know a few of your new PSG teammates?
"Of course. I've been keeping an eye on PSG on the television and in the press. I lot of players have been away on international duty and I'll keep getting to know them this week. This squad has a lot of quality and a lot of internationals. We hope to form a very tight-knit team as quickly as possible, because that's the most important thing in football. This year, PSG has very ambitious objectives and we, the players, share that hunger for silverware."
