Guillaume, you’re back early from the national team. How do you feel?
“The morale has taken a bit of a battering. I’ve got a cold as well, so this weekend has been a little hard to bear. The adventure ended too early. Apart from the loss on Friday against Belarus, it was a real blow to everyone’s morale. France plays away to Bosnia-Herzegovina and we need to bring something back from that trip. We can’t afford to finish the international camp with two defeats. I really hope that get a good result.”

You’ve also got your arm in a sling today...
“I’ve got a sore shoulder after a challenge with a Belarus player a fell awkwardly. I had to withdraw from the France squad for Tuesday’s game. I don’t have much movement and need to get it treated. I’ve had enough injuries to last me a life time, so I know how to deal with this. It hurts, but it’s not that bad and I just need to get it seen too to get back out on the pitch as soon as possible. We’ll see if that will be Saturday.”

You said you learnt a lot during your first international call up. Is that the same this time?
“I work hard every day to get called up to the France squad. You can only benefit from a week with France’s best players. I may have left early with an injury, but I’ve got loads of good memories. It’s a young squad and obviously we lack a little experience. But to spend time with the older guys like Zidane, Blanc, Boghossian and Barthez, who were all part of the Golden Era, it helps recharge and get rid of the pressure. The France squad is rebuilding and we just need everything to click into place and we’ll be away.”

Does PSG absolutely need a win this Saturday against Arles-Avignon to get the season up and running?
“We’ll be playing at home. We’ve already given some presents away but that’s finished now. My teammates have worked really hard this week. We want be thinking about our opponents. We know we’ve messed up our recent matches. Now we need to fight. We can’t afford to have another season like last year. We need to start moving forward again with a big September for the club.”
