“The aim is to get as many points as possible. Whether it be one or three points at a time. We kept a clean sheet. With a new-look starting XI, we played well. A lot of the players on Sunday hadn’t seen a lot of playing time and it’s never easy to find your rhythm immediately. Saint-Étienne were looking for the points to assure their Ligue 1 survival. We played well and we could even have nabbed all three points at the end. But it bodes well for the future.” Next up is Rennes at home...
“We’re in a positive spiral. We want to win some points. We know that with another three points against Rennes we’ll rejoin the group of sides ahead of us on the table. The aim is to finish in the top eight.”

What type of match do you expect against Rennes?
“A very difficult match. We lost there earlier this season. We played well and deserved a draw but we suffered in the second half. Les Rennais have some very good attacking players who need no introduction. They’re pretty good at the back and their midfield is no-nonsense. They’ll be looking for the win as well, so it should be an open game.” PSG has two games before the French Cup final. Aren’t you already thinking about that game?
“We’ll start thinking about the final after the Grenoble game. The championship is still very important to us. The best way to prepare for this final is to play well and win games in the league and build our confidence.”
