“Good! We’re happy to have qualified, especially given the snow-covered synthetic pitch. The synthetic pitch is very quick but we adapted to the conditions well. We needed to bounce back and we did. The qualification is what counts.” You hadn’t scored since the draw against Lyon in September. Was that an important goal for the confidence?
“It’s true that it had been a little moment since I last scored, but the most important thing is that the team plays well. That’s what made me feel good.” Is the French Cup becoming a main priority for the club?
“Yes, because there are only two more games before the final. That could also see us qualified for the Europa League. I’ve never won the French Cup so of course it’s a goal. We’re not doing as well as in the championship and we need to climb back up. There are still a lot of games left to play and lots of points on offer. It’s up to us to bounce back and continue like that.”

PSG is coming off four consecutive league losses. How is the squad approaching the Nancy match?
“We have to try and recover until Friday and then produce the same efforts again. If we keep a cleansheet we’re able to score at any moment. We need to go back to basics and attack. Nancy have some good players. We need to be careful. They’re tough one-on-one. We have to be solid. But we can get a good result there.” You seem in good form. How are you feeling?
“Good. Every player goes through some tough moments and you have to know how to deal with that. You have to knuckle down and keep working. I’m happy and that shows out on the pitch. We have to fight back together, that way things will go better for us as individuals but also for PSG as a team.”
