On Tuesday morning, Sammy Traoré looked back at Sunday’s game against Lyon and ahead to the weekend’s clash with Lorient...
Sammy, what are your thoughts about the Lyon match?“Against Lyon, it’s just the same old story. In the first game we played really well and only got a draw. Last weekend I think we played really well again, but the red card just killed us. With ten men, everything just got that much harder and in the end we conceded two goals from set pieces. But we can’t let our heads drop, we have to keep on working. This weekend we entertain Lorient at the Parc. They’re a good team and hard to play. We have to show them we can beat them.”

The atmosphere is still good and very calm at the Camp des Loges. Is this what you need to bounce back?
“It’s important to work hard in a calm environment. We’re working in a good spirit, but we have to translate that into a match. We’re well off the championship race and that’s not normal for a team like Paris. There’s not much in it, we’ve been playing some very good matches but we need to turn that into points as quickly as possible.”
How are you approaching the Lorient game?
“First we have to recuperate and then think about the costly mistakes we’re making at the moment. We’ll work hard all week with the coach to turn things around against Les Merlus. It will be an open game. The first game was a great game that finished in a draw and this one will also be a great game, with a win for us!”
