“I’ve been preparing myself for this moment. I felt ready and I didn’t have any doubts. It went really well, apart from the result. With 20 minutes under my belt on Wednesday and feeling good mentally and physically, it’s very encouraging for the future. I was really disappointed because I carved out two great chances without putting them away.” How did you feel you teammates were during the game?
“When you’re on the wrong end of a drubbing like the one we suffered against Lille, it isn’t easy. We wanted to show we had the ability to bounce back. We showed that. Ut we can’t say that everything was perfect against Monaco, because we lost and don’t have any points to show for the game. But we did get back to basics and play some good football. I hope that all the fans will stay behind us, because we’re never going to give up.”

What did you think of Stéphane Ruffier’s performance in the Monaco goal?
“He was right on top of his game and that’s often the case when players take on PSG. Obviously we were up against an excellent ‘keeper. But we still have our destiny in our own hands. We have to climb back up the standings.” How is the squad approaching the game against Evian?
“It’s going to be a difficult game. When I played for Gueugnon, we came and played at the Parc (also in the French Cup, 21/01/07). We played a fantastic match, despite a 1-0 loss. When you come to this stadium, you just give it everything, without thinking twice. The Evian players will be pressure free. We’re professional and we did the business in the last round (5-0 win over Aubervilliers). We’ll have to do the same on Sunday. I want to win some trophies, including the French Cup.”
