“We’ve tried to put the Lens game behind us and turn to the Rennes game. We’ve drawn our consequences from the last match and we’ll try and fix out mistakes for Rennes.” How frustrating was it to for Lens to pull level immediately after you’d moved in front?
“Obviously it was very frustrating. It’s very tiring because we’re committing the same mistakes and conceding the same goals time and time again.”

Has the weather been upsetting training this week?
“We don’t have much choice at the moment. We can’t train on our normal pitch at the Camp des Loges. This Friday morning we went into a gymnasium and among other things, we played basketball. It’s one of those training sessions that’s different from the everyday run of the mill, especially as we didn’t have any choice. We had fun, even if we’re still very focused on the Rennes game.” What do you make of all this ‘Edel Affair’?
“Edel isn’t the first player to deal with this. It also happened to me. Edel’s in the firing line now, in the starting line-up and people are now asking for things. They should stop! But the important thing is that Edel isn’t worried about it and he’s concentrating on his game. At any rate, I’m right behind him and so is the coach and the staff and the players. These aren’t easy times for Edel but he’s mentally very tough.” Are the two final matches of the year, against Rennes and Grenoble a potential turning point for the season?
“Of course. We’re mid-table. With the squad we’ve got, we could hope for a bit better. We’ve two games left. If we take six points, we’ll be better off. But the most important thing is to not lose against Rennes. We have the potential to win and that’s what we’ll be trying to do.”
