Kombouaré: ‘The win was important’

Antoine Kombouaré (PSG coach)
“The win was the important thing. Even better with three goals. The goal we conceded takes a bit of the shine off, but it’s a very positive result against an excellent side. We needed to play well and we worked very hard. The defence worked well, even if there are still a few little things that need fine tuning. We built this win with three goals scored from open play. We were solid and rediscovered the route to goal. In friendly matches, it’s the attitude, the spirit that makes the difference, how capable you are of approaching the game seriously. We were very professional, even if there’s still a lot of work to be done. We now have a great week ahead of us, and the game against Marseille to cap it off on Friday.”

Yannick Boli (PSG forward)
“I’m just trying to show the coach what I can do. I managed to score from Clement Chantôme’s pass. It’s a good result for the team. It gives us confidence. I work very hard to try and be part of the squad and get into this team. Today’s game is great for me and just motivates me even more to keep on working.”

Clément Chantôme (PSG midfielder)
“We were coming off a defeat here at the Parc and we really wanted to win this match to get as much confidence as possible ahead of Marseille because we know we’re not in the best situation in the league. It was very important for us to play well. We’re very happy. It’s very important to play well in this type of match against a very good side. I was lucky enough to score, it doesn’t happen very often... I’m very happy and full of confidence.”

Zoumana Camara (PSG defender)
“I’ve already played games with the reserves and I’ve been back training for a while now. To play at the Parc again is a real pleasure. It was a good, tough game. It was a good work out and ended in a win. It’s great to be back with my teammates out there on the pitch in a game.”
