Sylvain, Saturday’s game against Valenciennes should be your 300th in Ligue 1...
“They’re only numbers – al it means is that I played a lot, but doesn’t say how I played. Since the start of my career I’ve been lucky enough to play regularly and that’s a good thing. I’m happy to reach 300 games because not everyone gets there. I hope it keeps going and I’ll reach a new milestone in the future. I still have the desire and that doesn’t change. If I lose that desire one day, then I’ll say stop, but I think I’ve still got a few years left.”

Over the last ten years, you’ve won it all in France... the League, the Cups, the Champions Trophy… What are your aims now?
“Simply to win more titles with Paris! I feel good here, I love this club and that’s why I recently signed a new deal. We don’t know what the future holds but I know we can win things in France and at the end of your career it’s always nice t look back at the things you won.”

How are you preparing for this weekend’s trip north?
“We’re heading to Valenciennes with the same attitude we took to Montpellier, that is, looking for the three points. Depending on how the match goes, we’ll see if that’s possible, but we want to keep going on our good start and get as many points as we can.”
