“We would have preferred to return to Paris with the win. But it’s still an away point. Obviously we could have done better, but we have to forget about that match and concentrate on Saturday’s game. It would be good to start with all three points at home. That’s the most important thing. We can’t afford to lose too much ground on the leaders.”
Are you itching to get back to the Parc des Princes against Le Mans on Saturday?
“We always want to play in front of our supporters. It’s always great to play at the Parc des Princes and we want to win and share that emotion with the fans. It’s vitally important for us to play in front of the fans this weekend and please them with the win. But careful, Le Mans are a good side. They could easily have beaten Lyon, but they got clawed back in the final minute. They’ve got some big lads and they’re a physical side and it won’t be easy. But no matter – we need to win the three points.”

Do you mind being back at right-midfield this season?
“Not at all. We have a lot of good players with four strikers vying for two places, and anyway, the coach prefers to have me on the right. I’ve played almost my entire career on the right side and I know you have to work hard. I’ve prepared myself for that and it’s absolutely no problem. I’ve always enjoyed playing on the right and my role is to deliver the ball to the strikers to score.”
How are things going with Antoine Kombouaré?
“Very well. He talks a lot about his desire to win, just like us. He’s made us hate losing and has infected us with his motivation for victory. That pushes us on. We work very hard. He is very meticulous about a number of things and so it’s very interesting for us.”
