Antoine Kombouaré (PSG coach)
“First of all, I’m happy for the victory. It’s very important to install a winning dynamic early in the season. We used the game to continue our physical work and there are a lot of tired bodies here tonight, but the lads have to keep pushing themselves beyond the limit. It’s a good way to start. I’ve started to put a few tactical things in place, especially in defence. Now we need to keep working after a match in which all the players got a full 45 minutes each.”
Gregory Coupet (PSG goalkeeper)
“These friendly matches allow us to create a bit of understanding between us. I tried to talk a lot to my defenders, position them, I told them to get forward. There’s nothing like playing a match and it was good to get to know my defenders more in game circumstances. I really enjoyed getting back into the changing-rooms ahead of a game. It was great. We have everything we need to work well here. I feel there’s a lot of expectation within the squad. The most important thing is that the hard work pays off.”
