Lorient’s right-back Christophe Jallet has signed a four-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He is therefore reunited with the Parc des Princes – the ground where he made his Ligue 1 debut with Lorient...
Christophe, what does signing for PSG mean to you?"Signing for Paris Saint-Germain means a lot for me. First of all, I'm delighted to join one of France's biggest clubs, it's an incredible opportunity for me. I hope to shine in PSG's colours and win lots of silverware."
What will your role be at PSG?
“I’ve signed as a right back but I can also play in midfield or in the centre of defence. My aim is to become the first-choice right-back while also knowing I’ll get my chance in other positions.”
You’ve already played at the Parc des Princes, what did you think?
“It’s very simple. It’s the best stadium in France, the stadium with the best atmosphere. It’s always full, the singing throughout the match. Honestly, I found it the most awe-inspiring place. To be able to play at the Parc des Princes every two weeks is just incredible. It’s an incredible chance and you have to make the most of it.”
You will now join up with your new teammates in Port Crouesty for the pre-season training camp. How are you physically?
“I’ve already been in pre-season training for more than a week. I think I’m in pretty good shape.”
