Zoumana, how are you at the start of this 2009/10 season?
“For the moment, it’s pre-season training. We’ve met the new staff so there’s nothing definite yet. The coach introduced himself and his staff. He asked us to introduce ourselves and say a word about our careers. For Greg, Claude and Ludo that took a fair bot of time... for others less... But it was all good fun.”

Do you think the new coach, Antoine Kombouaré, has the right approach?
“There’s no one way to succeed. Each coach has their own method. We’re all different with different qualities. Just because he’s different to Paul Le Guen, doesn’t mean he’ll have more or less success. We’re not comparing or even asking the question. We’re going to work hard and have a good season.”

Can you tell us a bit about the new signing Mevlut Erding?
“I played against him last season. He’s a quick striker that likes to run into space. He’s pretty strong and I’m happier now that he’s a teammate.”

A word about your new coach?
“He’s got huge motivation. He knows PSG because he was a player here. He marked the history of this club. Now he’s returning as coach, even if he was already here as reserve team coach. You can feel he has a incredible desire to succeed and I think he’ll transmit that to us this season.”

Do you think the team is better this season?
“We have the same players apart from Mickaël Landreau. We’ve signed Greg (Coupet) and Mevlut (Erding). The backbone is practically the same so I think we can say it’s been reinforced.”

Are you nervous about the new season?
“It’s great to catch up with the teammates again. A few look pretty tanned. You can’t really tell with others like me... We’re all smiling, the holidays were great.”
