Paris Saint-Germain's 17-year-old defender Alassane També has signed the first professional contract of his career - a three-year deal with PSG.

"It means a lot to sign my first contract with Paris Saint-Germain. It's also great that the club is looking after its youth players. To sign at just 17 years of age is very important in my footballing career. It's only the start for me. I'll join the reserves as soon as training restarts. To come to PSG was a dream come true and signing a pro contract is simply fantastic. I want to integrate the professional squad as soon as possible, but before then, I have to keep working and continue my development."

"It was important for the club to sign, because he's a very talented young player. He can play right-back or in the centre of defence. He was born in 1992 and has been playing for PSG since 2002. He is a pure product of the youth academy. Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester United were chasing his signature. Obviously we're delighted to have signed the player to a professional contract. The plan is that he becomes an important player in the first team."
