Sammy, can you give us your thoughts about what’s happened today at the club?
“First and foremost, I’d like to pay my homage to Paul Le Guen and his love of this club. He went through it all here, as a player and a coach, he won trophies and last season, he saved us from relegation. Today, it’s thanks to him that PSG is back near the top of the table. On Tuesday, the coach announced that he wouldn’t be with us next season. He spoke with great dignity, of the love for PSG and how the club comes before all else.”

Were you surprised by the decision? How do you see the future at the club?
“Those types of things are not for the players to decide. It’s up to the president, Sébastien Bazin. He spoke to us and we respect his decision. That’s football. We remain players and won’t be commenting on the decisions of our president.”

Do you think this decision could have an effect on the end of season run?
“The squad is very focused on qualifying for Europe. It’s an exciting end of season. There are great things to achieve and all the players feel a great bond.”

Is third place still a possibility?
“We’re a point behind Lyon and there are four games remaining. Everything can still happen. We need to bounce back after last weekend’s loss to Rennes. A win over Le Mans will be a crucial result if we want to be playing Champions League football next season. It’s the sprint finish.”
