Jérôme, the win against Le Havre meant PSG were the big movers in the table this weekend...
“We just did our job. It was important to continue our good form because we were coming off a win and a draw in the league. But it wasn’t as easy as all that, even though everyone said it was an easy three points for us before kick-off. The toughest matches are always the ones that look the easiest. We approached the game in the right manner and we scored three goals. We’ve now got a little gap over Toulouse, Rennes and Lille. We’ve got a huge match coming up on Friday against Lyon. We have to be up for that one.”

How will you prepare for this decisive clash?
“The first thing is to recover physically and then work hard this week. Against direct rivals this year, we played well against Lille. We didn’t perform well against Toulouse and Bordeaux but then we also won in Marseille. I hope we can make it two and two with a win in Lyon. But obviously, it won’t be easy.”

Lyon seem to be a side out of form having taken just eight points from a possible 24 in their last eight matches...
“Out on the field, I still think Lyon are the best squad in Ligue 1, even if they’re going through a rough patch. At the Stade Gerland, it’s always a special match. We going there with plenty of ambition, but we are expecting a tough game.”

What are PSG’s goals for this end of season 2008-09?
“We have to believe in our chances right to the end of the championship. A good finish for PSG would be a top five finish. At the start of the season, we would have settled for that right then and there. Today, we’re still working hard and we’re not going to give anything away. We’ve had a fair few highs this campaign and a few lows, but we’ve always bounced back. Now we have six games left; six grand finals to play, considering we’re not in a real Cup final this season. We mustn’t give anything up, we’ve got to fight to the very end and if we get a little surprise at the end of the season for all our hard work, then all the better.”
