“We produced a very good display against Nantes, just as we did against Marseille and Bordeaux at the start of the season. We’ve played some good matches this season and we know we can again. We’ve got the quality to play well. We just have to learn to be a little more consistent and repeat this type of performance more often. The most important thing against Nantes, was getting the three points. We did that in style, which is great for us and the club.”
What are PSG’s strengths at the moment?
“The whole squad gets along really well at the moment, we’re really united and stick together. The club has had a few problems, but we’ve kept our minds on the job. Our job is to play football. I think we’re in the process of creating some strong bonds between the players and that bodes well for the future. We’re learning how to win again.”

Currently third in the league, are you dreaming of the Champions League?
“Our first mission is to rebuilt the squad, and that’s what we’re in the process of achieving. We’ve still got a long way to go. We’re near the top of the table, but we’re also looking over our shoulders. We need to hold onto our current position and hope to finish in the top four. We needed to do better than last season and now we’ll do whatever it takes to earn a Champions League berth. It would be amazing to qualify in our first season and we know just how hard it’s going to be.”
The first step on the road is this Saturday, against Saint-Etienne...
“We didn’t go and get a great win away to Nantes just to drop points at home. Saint-Étienne are a good team, and it will be tough. We know that if we want to stay near the top, we have to win every single home game.”
