Paul Le Guen
“We were beaten by a good team. We knew before that they were strong and talented. The match didn’t go our way. We created the first chances, but we didn’t put them away. Then, once we fell behind on the score-board we lacked the necessary consistency to come back into the game. We kind of fell apart. It was a strange game that turned in Bordeaux’s favour, because they were better than us. They did what they had to do to get the result.”

Laurent Blanc
“I’m very happy, we had a great game. The conditions were very difficult, especially considering it was just the second game of the year. It’s a new championship which starts now and who knows what might happen. I was impressed with everyone out there tonight. We have a great attacking potential but we need to find the right balance. We studied PSG well and knew they liked to sit back and hit us on the counter attack, but we blocked them well.”

Sammy Traoré
"I don't think the score really reflects the game. We got ourselves in trouble after ten minutes and a second goal before half-time just made things even more difficult. We came out for the second-half with the right intentions only to be caught out again. We came here looking for points so now we're going to get back to work and prepare for Wednesday. We need to win the points we lost tonight against Sochaux next week. This doesn't mean we've lost all our ambitions for this season, but it's a huge set-back. We still have our spirit though, so we'll be alright."

Papus Camara
“Bordeaux scored with their very first chance. They also controlled the possession throughout the match. That’s their biggest strength. We wanted to get forward quickly and I think if we’d opened the scoring with one of our early chances then it would have been a very different match. We received a bit of a hiding and nobody likes that, especially when you’re battling for third place. They were quite simply better than us today. Now we have to turn our attentions to the League Cup quarter-final against Lens on Wednesday. It’s a big game and we want to qualify for the semis.”
