Just days before the start of the new Ligue 1 season, Coach Paul Le Guen used this match to give his entire squad – minus Claude Makelele (right hamstring) – a last competitive outing.

Ludovic Giuly and Guillaume Hoarau, who both missed PSG’s last outing in Portugal, scored all three goals for the Parisians. Coming into the game at half-time, Hoarau capitalised on a mix up in the visitor’s defence to prod the ball home into an empty net (60’), before firing home first-time from a Diakhaby cut-back (64’). Ludovic Giuly, who enjoyed a good 45-minute work-out completed the scoring. Released by Yannick Boli, Giuly rounded the opposition ‘keeper before scoring goal number three.

Reactions
Paul Le Guen: “It was a training match which gave every player the chance to play 45minutes. It was a chance for certain players to play again, such us Guillaume Hoarau and Ludovic Giuly. It was a good hit-out with quality opponents, which is exactly want we were hoping for. Overall, it was a good training session.”

Zoumana Camara: “A good rehearsal, just days from the start of the season. We were preparing for the opening Ligue 1 match against Monaco. We approached all our friendly matches very seriously to give ourselves every chance to be ready for this weekend.”
