Roberto Soldado
A product of the Real Madrid youth academy, it was in his native Valencia that Roberto Soldado burst onto the scene. He netted 17 goals in his first season and 18 in his second. He has continued his excellent form this campaign with eight goals just before the midway point of the Liga season. He has also scored four goals in the Champions League group stage.
The last meeting between the two sides took place in the 2007 Emirates Cup. PSG won 3-0 at Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals to Diané (15'), N'Gog (30') and Luyindula (85'). Sylvain Armand and Mamadou Sakho were also on the teamsheet in London that day. The two teams met once before, in the final of the 1975 Tournoi de Paris. Bolstered by the guest appearance of a certain Johan Cruyff, Paris Saint-Germain went down 1-0 courtesy of Planelles' late strike (86').
